Presenting at the RAS-TECH Conference and Trade Fair 2022

Matt Craze presented a global view of the land-based aquaculture industry at the recent RAS-TECH event in Hilton Head, South Carolina. As we revealed in our recent Land-based Aquaculture Report published exclusively with Undercurrent News, a new cohort of 15 salmon RAS projects are financed and in the construction phase. Several will start production this year.

This new cohort will have an average production capacity of 4,000 tpy, 10x more than the 36 farms that are currently in operation globally. Plus, Atlantic Sapphire may break the glass ceiling of RAS production early this year. This new cohort of projects will be decisive in winning over investors who have cooled on the sector since Atlantic Sapphire reported several setbacks during 2021.  Higher production from Atlantic Sapphire could also have the same effect.
