The Kingfish Company successfully expanded its yellowtail farm in the Netherlands in 2023 and was on the verge of reporting breakeven for a commercial-scale RAS facility by the end of the year. Both The Kingfish Co and Nordic Aquafarms have been able to boost volumes of seriola fish and sell at higher prices in northern Europe despite challenging economic conditions.
